Most people assume the dog is aggressive and may bite, but there are many reasons why a dog may be muzzled.
Whilst that’s probably the most common reason for muzzling, dogs also wear muzzles to stop scrounging, to stop licking injuries and sometimes even as a requirement in sport.
Overall, muzzles prevent a dog using their mouth dangerously (whether that’s to bite someone or to eat something harmful) and, more significantly, provide crucial peace of mind to their handler.
Some dogs need to wear a muzzle at the groomer or the vet – the muzzle provides emotional & physical security for the owner & member of staff 👌🏻
In the unlikely event your dog sustains a nasty injury, you never know how they’ll respond to investigation when in pain – we therefore recommend muzzle training to all our clients 👍🏻
Whatever the reason for wearing a muzzle, we only see one thing: a responsible dog owner!
